Context

Training organisations spend a disproportionate amount of time on administration: sessions, enrolments, attendance, and the paperwork that follows. LearnPilot brings those workflows into one back office.

The challenge

Course operations are full of relational constraints — a learner belongs to a session, a session to a programme, attendance feeds the administrative record — and the data has to stay consistent, auditable, and correct because it backs official documents.

What I built

  • Built the Vue.js back office for programmes, sessions, enrolments, and learner tracking.
  • Designed the relational schema in MySQL with the constraints and transactions that keep enrolment and attendance records consistent.
  • Developed the NestJS API covering course operations and the administrative workflows built on top of them.
  • Deployed on Azure with an automated pipeline so releases are repeatable rather than manual.
  • Wired Sentry into both the API and the front end so production errors reach the team with the context needed to fix them.

Outcome

Course administration runs from one back office instead of parallel spreadsheets, and the team spends its time on training rather than on reconciling records.
